‘Ratty’ A Colourful Journey

We are pleased to announce the publication of a brand-new, all-colour, 96-page, hardback book, compiled on behalf of the Preservation Society by three members, to mark the 150th anniversary of the R&ER.

Produced in collaboration with Pendragon Publishing (responsible for ‘Back Track’ magazine), and entitled ‘Ratty’ A Colourful Journey, the book takes a colourful journey through time and location along the line, charting the history of the ‘Ratty' through 255 (mostly colour) photographs, posters, diagrams and illustrations - including a specially commissioned new all-colour scale map of the railway.

Many of the photographs used have been chosen from those submitted by Preservation Society members for publication in 'The R&ER Magazine' along with others from the Museum archive.
