Accommodation
Heywood House is self-catering hostel style accommodation and is situated in the main street of Ravenglass, just a few minutes' walk from the railway.
The primary purpose of Heywood House is to provide accommodation for members of the Preservation Society who are volunteering on the railway.

Rates and rules apply from 01 March 2024
Note:
- All persons staying in Heywood House must be members of the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway Preservation Society.
- Members not volunteering on the railway will be accepted at Council’s / the Warden’s discretion. At busy times priority will be given to members volunteering on the railway.
- Residents & Users of Heywood House agree to their details being held on a database. (adhering to GDPR rules).
- Residents are required to bring their own bedding, towels, etc.
- Heywood House is heavily subsidised by the Society meaning that the cost to volunteers is kept as low as possible.
- Heywood House is communal accommodation and users must respect its rules.
- Young people under the age of 16 years shall be accompanied by a parent or guardian or responsible adult appointed by them, that person shall be responsible for supervising their behaviour and managing their care, while staying in Heywood House.
- People aged 16 & 17 years old who stay unaccompanied by a responsible adult require the written agreement of a parent/guardian and the Warden prior to their booking being accepted. Their stay in Heywood House will be at their own risk and they are responsible for themselves,
- People aged 18 years and over are responsible for themselves, and stay in Heywood House at their own risk.

2 single beds. Chest of drawers. Sea view.
Room 5 (Downstairs)
1 single bed. Chest of drawers. Bedside cabinet.

Shower (upstairs and downstairs). Bath (downstairs).
